MNP Petroleum Corp formerly known as Express Systems Corporation, was incorporated in the State of Nevada on July 9, 1998. It is a development stage company, which is engaged in the business of exploring for oil and gas, mainly in Central and East Asia. Although it is currently focused on projects located in certain geographic regions, it remains open to attractive opportunities in other areas. It carries out operations both directly and through participation in ventures with other oil and gas companies. It is actively involved in exploration projects in Mongolia and Tajikistan. In addition, it agreed to purchase a producing oilfield in Tajikistan. The Company competes with numerous individuals and companies, including many major oil and gas companies that have substantially greater technical, financial and operational resources and staff. It competes with these individuals and companies for desirable oil and gas leases, exploration and exploitation licenses, and necessary drilling equipment, as well as for access to personnel and funds. The Company is subject to national and local environmental laws and regulations relating to water, air, hazardous substances and wastes, and threatened or endangered species that restrict or limit its business activities for purposes of protecting human health and the environment.
