Grand River Bank is a Michigan state chartered bank that provides banking services to small- to medium-sized commercial, professional and service companies and consumers, principally in Kent and Ottawa Counties. The Company's primary service area consists of the Grand Rapids area, located in Kent County near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. It emphasizes a range of lending services, including real estate, commercial, equity-line and consumer loans to individuals, small- to medium-sized businesses, and professional concerns that are located in or conduct a substantial portion of their business in the Bank's market area. It makes many types of loans available to business organizations and individuals on a secured and unsecured basis, including commercial, term, working capital, asset based, SBA loans, commercial real estate, lines of credit, and mortgages. Small business products include: working capital and lines of credit; business term loans to purchase fixtures and equipment, site acquisition or business expansion; inventory, accounts receivable lending; and construction loans for owner-occupied buildings. It offers consumer loans to customers in its primary service area. Consumer lending products include: home improvement loans; installment loans (secured and unsecured); and consumer real estate lending. The Company offers a full range of deposit services that are typically available in most banks and savings and loan associations, including checking accounts, NOW accounts, Health Savings Accounts, commercial accounts, savings accounts, and time deposits accounts. It offers cashier's checks, banking by mail, remote deposit, online banking, ATM/Debit cards and United States Savings Bonds. The Company's competitors include large national, super regional and regional banks like Bank of America, PNC/National City, Comerica Bank, Chemical Bank, Fifth Third and Huntington Bank, as well as established local community banks such as Macatawa Bank, Mercantile Bank, Byron Bank and Founders Bank.
