GreenShift Corporation formerly Veridium Corp was formed in 2003. Effective February 11, 2008, the Company changed its name from GS CleanTech Corporation to GreenShift Corporation. The company develops and commercializes clean technologies that facilitate the more efficient use of natural resources. The company is focused on doing so today in the U.S. ethanol industry, where it innovate and offer technologies that improve the profitability of licensed ethanol producers. It invented, developed, commercialized, perfected, and patented new technologies that integrate into the back-end of existing dry mill corn ethanol plants to tap into a new reserve of inedible crude corn oil with an estimated industry-wide output of more than 800 MMGY, an amount capable of offsetting more than about 20 million barrels of fossil fuel-derived crude oil per year. This corn oil is a valuable feedstock for use in the production of advanced carbon-neutral liquid fuels and other biomass-derived alternatives to fossil fuel-based products. In February 2010, the EPA published its estimate that 70% of the U.S. ethanol industry will use back-end corn oil extraction technology to produce 40% of America's biodiesel feedstock by 2022. It are focused on driving and supporting the full utilization of its patented corn oil extraction technologies by as many licensed ethanol plants as possible, as quickly as possible. It generate revenue by licensing its technologies to ethanol producers, and by providing its licensees with success-driven, value-added services and other solutions based upon its expertise, know-how, technologies, and patent position.
