Enable IPC Corporation was incorporated in March 2005 in the State of Delaware. The Company has established to develop and commercialize rechargeable batteries for use in low power applications. Its initial product would be a thin film lithium battery. A patent application covering this technology was assigned to the Company in March 2005. This initial product is in the very earliest stage of development. To date, the Company have created prototype nanowire cathodes in a laboratory, successfully integrated electrolyte, added an anode and tested the battery, which did produce measurable current. The Company has calculated performance expectations on paper, but the Company had not fully tested the cathodes for performance characteristics, and do not know if its manufacturing plan is feasible. The Company has begun to characterize the technology 'establish how well the technology works and ascertain an idea as to how the technology would perform' and expect to complete the characterization by the end of 2008. Its business goal is to either license the technology 'when fully characterized, proven and prototyped' to a battery manufacturer or enter into a joint venture or acquisition with a battery manufacturer to produce the resulting battery products. In addition, Enable IPC is working with SolRayo, LLC and the University of Wisconsin to develop, license and eventually commercialize and sell an ultracapacitor technology. The Company would compete with other manufacturers and distributors of small sealed rechargeable batteries. The raw materials required to manufacture batteries - lithium cobalt oxide and wafers with various substrates - are available from numerous suppliers. The Company plans to continue research and development of its technology. The Company currently utilize outside consultants for its research and development activities.
