Boralex Inc A (BRLXF)

Boralex Inc was incorporated on November 9, 1982. The Company is a power producer engaged in the development and the operation of renewable energy power stations. It operates approximately 25 wind power stations, 14 hydroelectric power stations, two thermal power stations and a solar power facility for a total capacity of nearly 650 megawatts. It also operates two hydroelectric power stations on behalf of an entity controlled by a director and officers of the Company. The generated power is sold mainly in Canada, the United States and France. The Company's power stations are grouped into four operating segments: wind, hydroelectric, thermal and solar power. Company operates approximately 460 MW wind power portfolio in Europe and Canada. In recent years, it has become one of the experienced wind power producers in France, where it currently generates near 235 MW of power. Company and its partner Gaz Métro recently commissioned the first phase of the Seigneurie de Beaupré Wind Farms, a wind farm in Canada. Company has almost 20 years of expertise as a hydroelectric power producer, owning and operating 136 MW of this type of energy over the U.S., Québec and British Columbia. Company owns and operates two thermal power stations, with a total installed capacity of 49 MW. One of them, with an installed capacity of 35 MW, is supplied with wood-residue, a method of producing renewable energy. It also operates one natural gas cogeneration power station with a total installed capacity of 14 MW. It also owns and operates a solar power facility with an installed capacity of 5 MW located in France.
