Bekem Metals Inc. was incorporated in the state of Utah under the name EMPS Research Corporation on January 30, 2001. The name was changed to Bekem Metals, Inc. on February 9, 2005 following the reverse acquisition with Condesa Pacific, S.A. The Company is engaged in the exploration of mineral resource properties. Its main business focus has been exploring for nickel, cobalt and other minerals in Kazakhstan. The Company's operations are considered to be at the exploratory stage. It has mined and sold very little ore from the Kempirsai deposit and none from the Gornostai deposit. Currently there are no nickel-producing companies in Kazakhstan although there are several companies holding exploration and/or extraction rights to nickel deposits in Kazakhstan. The Company is subject to the reporting requirements of the Securities Exchange Act.
