APA Group is engaged in natural gas infrastructure business with pipelines spanning every state and territory in mainland Australia. The Company operates in three reportable segments: Energy Infrastructure, Asset Management and Energy Investments. Energy Infrastructure includes majority owned pipelines, gas storage assets and the Emu Downs Wind Farm; Asset Management provides commercial, operating services and/or asset maintenance services to the majority of its energy investments for appropriate fees; and Energy Investments invests in a number of investment vehicles that house energy infrastructure assets, generally characterized by long-term secure cash flows, with low capital expenditure requirements. It owns or has an interest in approximately $12 billion of energy infrastructure across Australia. It has a diverse portfolio of 14,100 kilometres of gas transmission pipelines that span every state and territory on mainland Australia and deliver about half the nation's natural gas usage. It also owns other related energy infrastructure assets such as gas storage facilities and power generation assets. The Company has ownership interests in Envestra Limited and the GDI (EII) Pty Ltd gas distribution networks, which together have approximately 25,000 kilometres of gas mains and approximately 1.2 million gas consumer connections. It also has minority interests in other energy infrastructure assets and businesses, including SEA Gas Pipeline, Energy Infrastructure Investments, EII2 and Ethane Pipeline Income Fund.
