Ajinomoto Co Inc was incorporated in Japan on December 17, 1925. The Company is engaged in manufacturing, distributing & selling of food products, amino acids & pharmaceuticals. The Company operates in four segments including domestic food products, overseas food products, bioscience products and fine chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. The Domestic food products segment is engaged in the sale of seasonings and processed foods, & frozen foods for the retail market. Its seasonings and processed foods include Nabe Cube, Chinese seasoning paste Cook Do flavor paste, Cook Do Kyo-no Ohzara, Japanese and western-style menu seasoning, and mayonnaise products. Its frozen foods include Gyoza, Yawaraka Wakadori Kara-Age, Puripuri-no-Ebi Shumai, and beverages including CALPIS & CALPIS Water. The Overseas food products segment includes distribution of consumer foods, and umami seasonings for processed food manufacturers. Its consumer foods include AJI-NO-MOTO, Ros Dee, Masako, YumYum, & VONO. Its umami seasonings for processed food manufacturers include AJI-NO-MOTO for the food processing industry, nucleotides. The Bioscience products and fine chemicals is engaged in the sales of amino acids for pharmaceuticals and foods, and specialty chemicals. Its feed-use amino acids products include feed-use Lysine, feed-use Threonine, & feed-use Tryptophan; Amino Acids products include Arginine, glutamine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, and other amino acids; and specialty chemicals including insulation film for build-up printed wiring board, Amisoft and Jino. The Pharmaceuticals segment is engaged in the sale of pharmaceuticals products including LIVACT, ELENTAL, and ACTONEL.
