ActiveCare, Inc. was formed 05 March 1998 as a wholly owned subsidiary of SecureAlert, Inc. The Company changed its name to ActiveCare, Inc., effective from 15 July 2009. The Company and its wholly owned subsidiaries provide real-time visibility to health conditions and risk. Its products and services fall into two categories: - chronic illness monitoring and personal emergency response systems or care services. The Company operates two business segments based primarily on the nature of the Company's products. The Chronic Illness Monitoring segment is engaged in the business of developing, distributing and marketing mobile monitoring of patient vital signs and physical activity to self-insured companies. The CareServices segment is engaged in the business of developing, distributing and marketing mobile health monitoring and concierge services to distributors and consumers. The Company owns or has rights to trademarks, service marks or trade names that are used in connection with the operation of its business, such as CareCenter, 4G, Green Wire, ActiveOne, ActiveOne+, ActiveHome and ActiveCare. The Company has developed products that incorporate GPS, cellular capability, and fall detection, all of which are connected to its 24-hour CareCenter.
