Peter Mooses is a proprietary trader and market analyst with more than 20 years of experience across the financial markets, specializing in stocks, futures, and options trading. Peter is the founder of Mooses Trading Strategies, a research-led trading platform focused on in-depth market analysis across asset classes and market cycles. Prior to founding his firm, Peter spent more than a decade at R.J. O’Brien, where he served as a futures trader and senior commodity market strategist. In that role, he advised a diverse client base, including corporations, institutional investors, food companies, farmers, and high-net-worth individuals—on trading strategies and risk management solutions.
Earlier in his career, Peter managed multimillion-dollar institutional and corporate loan portfolios and led teams through multiple acquisitions of asset-backed securities (ABS) and collateralized debt obligation (CDO) divisions at major financial institutions, including ABN AMRO LaSalle Bank, Bank of America | Merrill Lynch, and U.S. Bank.
He began his career at Bunge as an intern on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, an experience that sparked his long-term focus on global commodities and derivatives markets.
