Run a Screener on your Watchlists, Portfolios, Leaderboard Pages
Your Barchart Premier membership opens additional screening capabilities on lists that you build in your account (your Watchlists and Portfolios). Additionally, you can also run a screener on most of the leaderboard pages on the site.
Screen on your Watchlists and Portfolios
- When viewing either a Watchlist or Portfolio, you'll notice a screen icon at the top of the table. Clicking this icon will open the Stocks Screener, pulling in all the equities symbols from your Watchlist or Portfolio.
The screener has automatically added the "Lists" filter, with your screener selected.
You may also screen on Watchlists or Portfolios by adding the "Lists" filter directly in the Screener.
Screen on Popular Leaderboard Pages
- As you browse the website, you'll see the same screen icon at the top of most of the Stocks, ETFs and Funds pages. Just like with your Watchlists and Portfolios, clicking that icon pulls the current list of symbols from that page into the appropriate screener where you can apply additional filters to find new trading opportunities.
Example: Each day, the "Top Stocks to Own" page presents today's stocks with the highest Signals Rating (a combination of Signal Strength and Direction). While this list may be of interest, you can create a screener to pull the new stocks found on that page each day and apply additional filters with your own investment criteria.
- When you click the "Screen" icon, you'll pull those symbols into the Stocks Screener. (Note: unlike Watchlists and Portfolios, the "Screen on List" filter can ONLY be applied by starting a screener from the page on which to run the screener.)
- Add filters ... maybe you'd like to narrow these down to view only equities whose 5-Year Return% is greater than 10% and with a P/E Ratio above 40.
- View the Results page, then Save the Screener.
- Tomorrow (and each day after), open the Stocks Screener, Apply your Saved Screener, and you'll see the current day's list of "Top Stocks to Own" with your filters applied, delivering today's new candidates on the Results page.
You'll find the screen icon on many of the favorite pages you use in your daily analysis of the markets, like the Stocks Price Surprises, Stocks New Highs & Lows, Trend Seeker® New Buy Signals, Today's Stocks Percent Change, and more.
