
Midday cotton futures prices are down a limit in the December and march markets. The other ’23 contracts are off a limit loss, but only by a few points.
NOAA’s updated 7-day QPF shows rainfall from Fiona hitting mainland Florida, with residual precip into southern GA. Most of cotton country will stay drier with less than 1/2” accumulated. Texas and Louisiana will stay dry.
The Cotlook A Index was back up by 340 points to 115.35 cents/lb. USDA dropped the AWP for cotton by 629 points to 88.88 cents/lb. ICE certified stocks fell 3,783 bales to 769 as of 9/21.
Dec 22 Cotton is at 92.54, down 400 points,
Mar 23 Cotton is at 89.67, down 400 points,
May 23 Cotton is at 87.51, down 398 points
