The Company operates in two segments: Distribution and Health and Beauty Products. Distribution consists of the wholesale pharmaceutical distribution and resale of brand and generic pharmaceutical products, over-the-counter drugs and non-drug products and health and beauty products. Health and Beauty Products consist of the manufacture and distribution of mainly health and beauty products. The Company sells its products through traditional wholesale distribution lines and e-commerce venues, including its website, www.amwrx.com. It faces strong competition both in price and service from national, regional and local full-line, short-line and specialty wholesalers, service merchandisers, self-warehousing chains and from manufacturers engaged in direct distribution. The manufacturing, packaging, labeling, advertising, promotion, distribution and sale of the products the company distribute are subject to regulation by numerous governmental agencies, particularly the United States Food and Drug Administration.
