RSI Bearish Divergence Stocks

Tue, Aug 18th, 2026

Relative Strength (RSI) Bearish Divergence attempts to find stocks who are showing signs of downward momentum after approaching their 6-month-high price. To be included stocks have to have a market cap greater than 300M, and a 20-day average volume greater than 50,000 traded shares. RSI divergence is achieved with a downward sloping RSI indicator during an uptrend, which is an early warning signal that upward momentum has dissipated, and the trend is starting to change. The Sell 12-26-9 MACD (Moving Average Convergence/Divergence) signal confirms that momentum has shifted to the downside, thereby reinforcing the chances of a downward move. A falling Relative Strength (RSI) approaching 50 can signal the start of a downtrend, and while the stock may again retest the near-term highs, the technical analysis suggests these candidates are starting to consolidate bearish momentum.
