Weather Maps / Map Types
The right side of the Weather map has a collapsible panel that holds links to different Weather Maps and Map Types. Click the Menu button to show or hide the panel.
Weather Maps
- Click the Menu button at the right side of the window to expand the panel.
- Click the Weather button.
Result: A panel with graphics representing different types of maps displays. - Click the map graphic you wish to display. Maps are layered one on top of the other in the interactive map displayed on the left.
Example: Click the Radar map graphic to display the current radar information on the map. Click the Current map graphic to add current temperatures on top of the radar map. Click the 24 Hr Precip map graphic to further layer the precipitation forecast on top of the radar and temperatures. - To remove a map overlay from the interactive map on the left, click on the map graphic again.
Map Type
The Map Type defines the bottom layer on the interactive map.
- Click the Menu button at the right side of the window to expand the panel.
- Click the Map Type button, and choose from the following:
- Map
- Satellite
- Terrain
- Base
Location Search
The Search box, located at the top left of the Weather tab, allows you to zoom in on the interactive map by entering a city, country, or zip code. You may also use the + / - buttons, found in the upper left portion of the map, to zoom in or out of the map.
