Wheat Futures PricesTuesday, Jun 18th, 2013Current Prices | End-of-Day Prices | Options Quotes | Spread Quotes | Profile
Wheat futures closed higher in Chicago and KC futures, but were 1 to 2 cents lower in Minneapolis. Higher corn prices stemming from supply concerns are helping to support the wheat market from the feed use side. Some glowing yield reports have been circulating the Twitterverse from SRW country, while Oklahoma reports tend to be “as bad as advertised”. The Brugler500 index dropped 1 point to 270 and continues to track with 2002. SRW ratings are much higher at 374, but HRW dropped again this week. There are about 1 million acres of the original spring wheat intentions which are still not unplanted and now past the crop insurance dates. The market is treating this as old news.
