Corn futures are trading 6 to 10 cents lower at midday. The US dollar is sharply higher this morning, making up for a week worth of losses. Weekly export sales were expected by the trade to be between 450-750,000 MT. This morning, the USDA reported the actual number at 695,400 MT. Mexico, Japan and China all booked sales during this period. Private exporters reported to the USDA export sales of 120,000 MT of Corn to an unknown destination. The DTN National Corn Index was up $0.03 from the previous day at $4.18. The closing price for corn on the Dalian exchange equates to $9.84/ bushel.
