AgriCharts and Farms Technology Offer Integrated Solutions to Grain Buyers and Producers CHICAGO, IL and OVERLAND PARK, KS – November 6, 2008 – AgriCharts, a division of Barchart.com, Inc., which provides real-time data, website and mobile services to the agricultural industry, today announced an integration initiative with Farms Technology, LLC, the industry leader for online grain marketing and electronic marketplaces for farmers and grain buyers. Through their relationship, grain elevators, co-ops, ethanol plants and other grain buyers which use Farms Technology’s online grain trading system, the Dynamic Pricing Platform (DPP), can seamlessly integrate into AgriCharts’ systems for real-time quotes, website management and mobile services. This initiative provides a comprehensive grain marketing solution as buyers using DPP benefit from the integrated systems and the ability to automatically feed basis data into AgriCharts’ website management and mobile distribution systems, as well as real-time pricing services. The integrated systems will provide grain buyers with maximum efficiency in managing cash grain prices and basis data. With the significant growth in electronic cash grain trading and the distribution of cash grain bids through websites and mobile devices managing basis data is a time-consuming task. This initiative provides a single point-of-entry for inputting and managing cash bid data. From the web-based system, grain buyers can efficiently trade cash grain, view real-time cash bids and disseminate cash bids to their website, email and mobile devices. “Many grain buyers currently enter basis data into many different systems which is time consuming and increases the chances for errors,” said Mark Haraburda, Managing Director at Barchart and AgriCharts. “Through our relationship with Farms Technology, grain buyers that use the DPP for cash grain trading and also need to post cash grain bids to their website, as well as send prices to mobile phones or via email, now have a single solution for managing this process,” said Haraburda. Farms Technology has also integrated AgriCharts’ AgPlus Real-Time desktop quote service into DPP. Through DPP users have access to a multitude of real-time quote boards, as well as charting, news and weather. This additional component provides both grain buyers and sellers with a comprehensive web-based system for marketing grain, as well as monitoring the markets. Additionally, for grain buyers who manage websites and send price updates to producers via email and text messaging, the integration between Farms Technology and AgriCharts provides an end-to-end solution which will save buyers time and be easier to manage. “FarmsTech has been relying on Barchart to power our matching engines since early 2006 and working with AgriCharts to deliver an Internet based real-time application is a natural fit for our business,” said Jason Tatge, Farms Technology Chief Executive Officer. “In today’s world volatility is extremely high and real-time market information can make you more profitable with just a few trades particularly if you have the tools in place to execute automated transactions given the real-time information. This is the solution AgriCharts and Farms Technology brings to the table for commodity buyers, the ability to purchase flat price commodities in a fully automated environment after securing a futures market hedge, thus completely eliminating market slippage and protecting margins,” added Tatge.
