Metals prices this morning are mixed: GCM3 -9.4 (-0.68%), SIN -0.194 (-0.86%), HGN3 +0.020 (+0.59%). Metals prices on Thursday settled mixed. June gold posted a 4-week low and July silver fell to a 1-month low on reduced demand for precious metals as an inflation hedge after the U.S. April core CPI eased to a 22-month low of +1.7% y/y. Copper closed higher after U.S. Apr building permits surged +14.3% to a 4-3/4 year high. Closes: GCM3 -9.3 (-0.67%), SIN3 -0.018 (-0.08%), HGN3 +0.0295 (+0.90%).
