Precious metals prices this morning are mixed. Jun gold is up +8.3 (+0.69%). July silver is up +0.143 (+0.83%). July copper is down -0.025 (-0.88%). Metals prices on Thursday settled mixed: GCM5 -4.6 (-0.38%), SIN5 +0.047 (+0.27%), HGN5 +0.0195 (+0.69%). Gold fell on speculation that the decline in U.S. weekly continuing claims to a 14-1/2 year low will give the Fed impetus to raise interest rates. Copper prices closed higher on signs of tighter supplies after LME copper inventories fell -2,650 MT to 332,225 MT, a 5-week low.
