Wheat futures are mostly 2 to 5 cents higher so far this morning after most contracts tested their respective lows after seeing overall improvement in the USDA crop condition ratings. The Kansas wheat quality tour is underway, with a wide variety of yield reports showing up after the first day of field sampling. The first day tour average was 34.3 bpa, down from 34.7 last year and the lowest for those routes since 2001. Informa cut its projected winter wheat yield by 1.9 bushels on Tuesday, and cut production by 12 mbu to 1.486 billion bushels.
