Latest Brugler Feeder Cattle (P) Report

Cattle futures gave back some of their Monday advance on typical Turnaround Tuesday profit taking.  Wholesale beef prices were mixed today.  Choice was 95 cents lower this afternoon, while Select boxes were quoted 36 cents higher. Week to date slaughter is 248,000 head, lagging 249,000 last Tuesday and 254,000 a year ago for the first two days of the week. There has been little activity thus far on the cash cattle front for this week. No packer bids have been reported.

Aug 13 Cattle closed at $119.050, down $0.200,

Oct 13 Cattle closed at $122.600, down $0.075,

Aug 13 Feeder Cattle closed at $143.950, down $0.575

Sep 13 Feeder Cattle closed at $146.475, down $0.525

Oct 13 Feeder Cattle closed at $148.400, down $0.650
