Cotton futures are trading with Wednesday losses of 150 to 275 points at midday. Crude oil is 71 cents per barrel higher on the day, with the US dollar index down $0.122.
The Seam reported sales of 1,166 bales on 9/1 at an average price of 89.24 cents/lb. The Cotlook A index was up 100 points on Tuesday at 102.30. ICE certified cotton stocks were down 86 bales on September 1, with the certified stocks level at 63,092 bales. The Adjusted World Price was raised by another 190 points last week to 71.52 cents/lb.
