Soybeans are trading with contracts 25 to 29 ¼ cents higher at midday. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price is up 10 ¾ cents at $12.61 1/4. Soymeal futures ate up $6 to $6.70 on the day, with Soy Oil up 107 to 115 points. There were no delivery notices overnight against September beans, with 52 deliveries for September meal and none for September bean oil.
On Monday afternoon, EPA announced they were granting 18 small refinery exemptions for 2025, with another 11 partial exemptions and denying 3. The total volume exempt was 1.76 billion RINs, with 100% of the difference between projected and actual exempt totals reallocated for 2026 and 2027 RVOs.
USDA reported a private export sale of 136,000 MT to China this morning for 2026/27.
Monday’s Crop Progress data from NASS showed 95% of the US soybean crop setting pods by 8/30, with 13% dropping leaves. Condition ratings were down 2% at 58% gd/ex, with the Brugler500 index falling 4 points to 353. Deterioration was seen in IL (-1), KS (-17), KY (-15), LA/MN (-12), MS (-5), SD (-2), and WI (+6). Some improvement was noted in IN (+5), MI/NE/OH (+2), MO/ND (+4), and TN (+1).
July soybean crush data will be released this afternoon, with analysts looking for between 219 to 221.3 mbu of beans crushed and the average at 220.1 mbu. Soybean oil stocks are seen at 1.878 billion lbs.
