Soybeans saw strength to close out Monday trade, with contracts steady to 7 cents higher, led by the deferreds. September was down a penny. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price was up 1/4 cent at $12.53 1/2. Soymeal futures were down a dime to $3.90 on the day, with Soy Oil up 1 to 16 points. There were no delivery notices on FND for September beans, with 261 deliveries for September meal and 800 for September bean oil.
On Monday afternoon, EPA announced they were granting 18 small refinery exemptions for 2025, with another 11 partial exemptions and denying 3. The total volume exempt was 1.76 million RINs, with 100% of the difference between projected and actual exempt totals reallocated for 2026 and 2027 RVOs.
USDA reported a private export sale of 159,000 MT to unknown destination this morning for 2026/27.
Monday’s Crop Progress data from NASS showed 95% of the US soybean crop setting pods by 8/30, with 13% dropping leaves. Condition ratings were down 2% at 58% gd/ex, with the Brugler500 index falling 4 points to 353.
USDA’s FGIS tallied soybean export shipments at 250,801 MT (9.22 mbu) during the week ending on August 27. That was 41.7% below the week prior and 49% lower than the same week last year. Mexico was the top destination of 53,896 MT, with 43,299 MT headed to Algeria and 42,394 MT to Egypt. Marketing year exports for 2025/26 are 40.744 MMT (1.497 bbu), which is now 18.2% below the same period last year.
July soybean crush data will be released on Tuesday, with analysts looking for between 219 to 221.3 mbu of beans crushed and the average at 220.1 mbu. Soybean oil stocks are seen at 1.878 billion lbs.
