The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.18 per share.
The discount retailer posted revenue of $3 billion in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.03 billion.
Burlington Stores expects full-year earnings in the range of $11.77 to $11.97 per share.
