Soybeans are trading with midday losses of 1 to 3 cents at Friday’s midday. September options expire today. The cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price is down 3/4 cent at $11.98 3/4. Soymeal futures are back up $1 to $1.20, as Soy Oil posted is down 217 to 220 points.
USDA reported a total of 712,000 MT of 2026/27 soybeans to China this morning, with 720,000 MT sold to unknown destinations
The ProFarmer Crop Tour showed Iowa soybean pot counts in a 3’ by 3’ area averaging 1,362.93 pods, down 1.55% from the last year but 5.19% above the 3 year average. Pod counts in Minnesota was pegged at 1257.8, up 0.89% from a year ago and 15.4% above the three year average.
Export Sales data from Thursday has 2025/26 soybean sales at 39.992 MMT, which is down 18% from the year prior. That is 97% of the USDA export projection and matches the last couple years sales pace. New crop commitments are at 11.85 MMT, which is double the same week last year and the largest in 4 years.
China’s Sinograin will auction 290,000 MT of imported soybeans next Wednesday
