The company operates through two segments: Merchant Solutions and Financial Solutions, offering services such as merchant acquiring, digital commerce, mobile payments, fraud protection, card processing, and digital banking solutions.
Shares of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based company have lagged behind the broader market over the past 52 weeks. FISV stock has fallen 61.5% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has returned 21.6%. Fiserv reported Q2 2026 results on Aug. 6, with revenue down 4% year-over-year to $5.29 billion and adjusted EPS declining to $1.84, while merchant solutions revenue fell 1% and financial solutions revenue dropped 8%. Following the weak results, Fiserv cut its 2026 adjusted EPS forecast to $7.20 - $7.40 and lowered its organic revenue outlook to flat to -1% from 1% - 3% growth.
For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect Fiserv’s adjusted EPS to decline 15.5% year-over-year to $7.30. The company’s earnings surprise history is mixed. It beat the consensus estimates in two of the last four quarters while missing on two other occasions.
Among the 35 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Hold.” That’s based on four “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” 26 “Holds,” and three “Strong Sells.”
This configuration has remained unchanged over the past three months.
On Aug. 7, TD Cowen cut its price target on Fiserv to $55 and maintained a “Hold” rating.
The mean price target of $60.32 represents a 16.7% premium to FISV’s current price levels. The Street-high price target of $91 suggests a 76% potential upside.
