The company also reported 22% growth in adjusted operating earnings from its Virginia segment to $670 million, driven by strong demand from data centers, with contracted data center capacity increasing to 53.8 GW as of July, up 5.3 GW from December. However, the stock fell marginally on that day as operating expenses rose to $4.15 billion from $2.71 billion a year earlier.
For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect Dominion Energy's EPS to grow 4.4% year-over-year to $3.57. The company's earnings surprise history is promising. It beat the consensus estimates in each of the last four quarters.
Among the 17 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Hold.” That’s based on two “Strong Buy” ratings and 15 “Holds.”
