CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Krispy Kreme Inc. (DNUT) on Thursday reported a loss of $19.4 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 1 cent per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 6 cents per share.
The doughnut wholesaler and retailer posted revenue of $375.3 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $374 million.
