Hogs are working lower through midday with 35 cent losses in April to $1.32 in June. USDA’s National Average Base Hog price was 42 cents weaker to $77.43. The 2/24 CME Lean Hog Index was 83 cents stronger to $78.22.
Pork cutout futures are also red so far with 57 to 95 cent losses in the active contracts. USDA’s National Pork Carcass Cutout value was 81 cents stronger this morning to $86.75. USDA estimated Monday’s FI hog slaughter at 482,000 head. That matches last week, and is 30k more than the same Monday last year.

May 23 Hogs are at $93.325, down $0.800
April 23 Pork Cutout is at $91.125, down $0.575,
