Hogs are fading triple digits through Wednesday’s midday with Feb down by $1.22 so far. USDA’s National Average Base Hog price was $1.04 weaker on Wednesday morning to $73.12. The CME Lean Hog Index dropped 55 cents on 12/29 to $80.19.
Pork cutout futures are also down by 47 cents to $1.22 at midday. USDA’s National Pork Carcass Cutout value was $5.06 higher, led by bellies, to $91.06. Federally inspected hog slaughter for Tuesday was estimated at 483k head, for a week to date total of 508k head.

April 23 Hogs are at $92.800, down $1.000
Feb 23 Pork Cutout is at $90.750, down $1.050,
