Lean hog futures were $2.82 to $3.75 lower on Monday. That left December at $80.60 with ~3 weeks left to trade. Feb hogs printed a new low for the month of November. The USDA National Average Base Hog Price was 27 cents higher at $83.22. The CME Lean Hog Index was $85.56, down another 61 cents, on 11/23.
Pork cutout futures also dropped by triple digits, with 2.3% to 3.5% losses. USDA saw the pork carcass cutout at $89.52 this afternoon, up by $1.89. Bellies were $6.59 stronger to $99.76.  CME’s Fresh Bacon Index was $10.37 lower to $145.91 for the week of 11/25. USDA estimated Monday’s FI hog slaughter at 493,000 head, up 5k from last week. Â
