Earnings Preview: What To Expect From F5's Report

Valued at a market cap of $16.7 billion, F5, Inc. (FFIV) provides multicloud application security and delivery solutions across regions including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Its platform enables organizations to deploy, secure, and manage applications across diverse environments from on-premises infrastructure to public cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

The Seattle, Washington-based company is slated to announce its fiscal Q2 2026 results soon. Ahead of this event, analysts expect FFIV to report an EPS of $2.52, a 5.6% decline from $2.67 in the year-ago quarter. However, it has exceeded Wall Street's earnings expectations in the past four quarters. 

For fiscal 2026, analysts expect the computer networking company to report EPS of $12.29, a rise of 3.5% from $11.87 in fiscal 2025.

Shares of F5 have gained 9.3% over the past 52 weeks, lagging behind the broader S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) nearly 15% return and the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLK) 27.6% increase over the same period.

Shares of F5 jumped 8.1% following its Q1 2026 results on Jan. 27, with revenue rising 7% year-over-year to $822 million, driven by 11% product growth and a standout 37% surge in systems revenue. Profitability also impressed investors, with adjusted operating income increasing to $314 million and adjusted EPS climbing to $4.45 from $3.84. 

Additionally, F5 raised its full-year outlook, projecting 5% - 6% revenue growth and boosting expected adjusted EPS to $15.65 - $16.05.

Analysts' consensus view on FFIV stock remains cautiously optimistic, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Out of 13 analysts covering the stock, three recommend a "Strong Buy," one "Moderate Buy," eight "Holds," and one has a "Moderate Sell." The average analyst price target is $313.67, indicating a potential upside of 3.9% from the current levels.
