Piedmont Mining Company, Inc. was formed in 1983 under the laws of North Carolina, USA and is currently in the exploration stage. October 2003, it has been an exploration stage company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties. The Company is mainly involved in the examination and exploration of mineral properties. The Company's focus for the foreseeable future would be on the exploration of its properties. The Company's plan is to conduct exploration for gold and silver at each of these properties to assess whether they possess economic deposits of gold and/or silver, which could be recovered at a profit. Piedmont competes with other mining and exploration companies, many of which possess financial resources and technical facilities than it do, in connection with the acquisition of suitable exploration properties and in connection with the engagement of qualified personnel. The Company exploration activities are subject to various levels of federal and state laws and regulations relating to protection of the environment, including requirements for closure and reclamation of mineral exploration properties.
