US Exchanges Top Trading StocksWednesday, Jun 19th, 2013Ranks stocks by Trading Liquidity (100-day average volume divided by shares outstanding).
The Top Trading Stocks page ranks stocks by Trading Liquidity, which is a ratio defined as the 100-day average volume divided by the shares outstanding. Trading Liquidity provides an indication of the percentage of Shares Outstanding that turn over each day. Barchart uses a long-term 100-day average volume in its calculation of top trading stocks to ensure that stocks presented in the report are consistently high-volume stocks, rather than hot stocks whose trading volume was high for a short period of time.
