Metals prices this morning are weaker: GCM3 -15.3 (-1.12%), SIN -0.807 (-3.61%), HGN3 -0.020 (-0.59%). Metals prices on Friday settled mixed. June gold slid to a 1-month low after the dollar index surged to a 2-3/4 year high and after San Francisco Fed President Williams said the Fed may begin to curtail its QE3 program as soon as this summer. Copper rallied after May University of Michigan consumer confidence rose to a 5-3/4 year high and after weekly Shanghai copper inventories tumbled -4,713 MT to a 7-month low of 190,330 MT. Closes: GCM3 -22.2 (-1.60%), SIN3 -0.307 (-1.35%), HGN3 +0.0285 (+0.87%).
