Metals prices this morning are higher: GCZ5 +7.6 (+0.71%), SIZ5 +0.093 (+0.66%), HGZ5 +0.004 (+0.20%). Monday's closes: GCZ5 -9.5 (-0.88%), SIZ5 -0.064 (-0.45%), HGZ5 -0.03405 (-1.65%). Metals on Monday closed lower with Dec silver at a 6-1/4 year low and Dec copper at a 6-1/2 year low. Metals prices were undercut by the rally in the dollar index to a 7-1/4 month high after San Francisco Fed President Williams said there's a "strong case" for a Fed rate hike next month. Gold prices also saw pressure on news that long positions in ETF's fell to 1501.69 MT on Friday, a 6-1/2 year low.
