Metals this morning are weaker: Dec gold -0.4 (-0.03%), Dec silver -0.275 (-1.39%), Dec copper -0.015 (-0.68%). Friday's closes: Dec gold -3.0 (-0.22%), Dec silver -0.289 (-1.44%), Dec copper +0.0065 (+0.30%). Metals on Friday settle mixed. Metals prices were undercut by a stronger dollar and by hawkish comments from Boston Fed President Rosengren who said he favors raising interest rates sooner rather than later. Copper was boosted by the -5,549 MT fall in Shanghai copper inventories to a 1-year low of 130,780 MT.
