Bearish factors included (1) the rally in the dollar index to a 1-week high, and (2) concern that Chinese copper demand will wane after China Nov new-home prices fell in 67 of the 70 cities tracked by the government. A bullish factor was signs of increased physical demand for gold after Swiss Nov gold exports rose to 232.3 MT, the most this year.
