Metals prices this morning are mixed: GCQ6 +16.7 (+1.26%), SIU6 +0.577 (+3.10%), HGU6 -0.024 (-1.07%). Thursday's closes: GCQ6 -6.3 (-0.47%), SIU6 +0.216 (+1.17%), HGU6 +0.0095 (+0.43%). Metals on Thursday settled mixed with Sep silver at a 1-3/4 year high and Sep copper at a 1-3/4 month high. Metals prices were boosted by signs that global central banks will boost stimulus to contain the effects from the Brexit vote after BOE Governor Carney said the BOE may loosen policy. Copper received a boost from the stronger-than-expected Jun Chicago PMI report. Gold was undercut by a stronger dollar and reduced safe-haven demand with the rally in stocks.
