Description The SPDR S&P International Energy Sector ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of the S&P Developed Ex-U.S. BMI Energy Sector Index. The Index is designed to represent the non-U.S. energy sub-industry of developed countries included in the BMI Global Index. The BMI Global Index is a comprehensive, float-weighted, rules-based benchmark that is readily divisible and customizable. To be included in the BMI Global Index, a country must have a float-adjusted market capitalization of $1 billion or more and a weight of at least 40 basis points in either the developed world or an emerging market. All publicly listed companies with float-adjusted market capitalization of a minimum of $100 million and at least $50 million annual trading volume are included for each country. All Index constituents are weighted proportionate to their float- adjusted market capitalization and are capped so that no stock exceeds 20% of the Index; stocks that exceed 5% of the Index market cap weight, in aggregate, should not exceed 45% of the Index. Under normal market conditions, the Fund generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the Index.
