Consumer Price Index (CPI)Tuesday, Jun 18th, 2013 FlipCharts
The change in price level of goods and services purchased by households is measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Prices for a sample of representative items are collected periodically and tracked over time, creating a price index. The annual percentage change in the consumer price index is used as a measure of inflation. Our CPI comparison graph shows current and historic rates for the United States, Canada, Eurozone, and the UK.
