Soybeans are currently down about a dime lower, slipping lower after getting about half way back to unchanged from their session low that was nearly minus 16 cents on the day. Weekly export inspections reported by the USDA this morning were more than half a million metric tons larger than they were last week, with the actual figure coming in at 1,991,537 MT; that is 18% larger than the same week a year ago. Total year to date export inspections are 123% of what they were a year ago. US export commitments are 66% of the full year USDA forecast, with outstanding (unshipped) sales 4% larger than year ago. The bull story is soybean meal, with outstanding export sales 59% larger than were on the books a year ago.
