The metals futures market is a subsection of the larger futures market and is a financial exchange wherein buyers purchase a selected commodity - gold, silver, copper, platinum - now, for delivery in the future. These types of contracts are considered derivatives, in that the value is derived from the performance of the underlying asset, such as physical commodities, stocks, etc. Our daily commodity charts are updated to track the pricing of metals over time, highlighting performance trends. The commodity futures prices are updated throughout the day to better assist in your trade decisions related to the metals futures market.
