Latest Brugler Live Cattle Report

Cattle futures are trading near the highs of the day at midday. Wholesale prices set another new record high for Choice at $210.46 this morning but are mixed overall. Select boxed beef carcasses were quoted 20 cents below yesterday. The drop credit was UNCH on Monday at $13.96 per cwt. Estimated Monday slaughter was 125,000 head, which is 2000 more than last Monday, but the same as a year ago.  The USDA says that overall the US pasture and range condition improved from last week, gaining 3 points in the good category and 1 point in the excellent category. 

Jun 13 Cattle are at $121.000, up $0.875,

Aug 13 Cattle are at $120.300, up $1.150,

Oct 13 Cattle are at $123.450, up $0.975,

May 13 Feeder Cattle are at $132.000, down $0.525

Aug 13 Feeder Cattle are at $146.625, up $2.150

Sep 13 Feeder Cattle are at $148.900, up $2.075
