AgriCharts Launches New Mobile Application for Agricultural Markets

AgriCharts Mobile improves the efficiency for accessing quotes, news and weather

CHICAGO, IL– NOVEMBER 29, 2011 - AgriCharts, the agricultural division of Barchart.com, Inc., which provides market data, agribusiness website hosting and technology solutions to the agricultural industry, announces the release of a new AgriCharts mobile application available at www.agricharts.com/mobile. The revamped mobile app offers a real-time or delayed platform for viewing quotes, charts and analysis for grains, livestock and other commodity markets. The new mobile service features a new design and user interface that focuses on enhanced touch-screen navigation used by iPhone, Android and other smartphone owners.  AgriCharts Mobile also features comprehensive weather conditions, forecasts and radar maps, as well as the latest commodity-related news, keeping agribusiness and producers well-informed wherever they are.  In addition, the new mobile service can be white-labeled by third-parties and can integrate third-party content, providing firms with a complete mobile solution.
 
“As our mobile user base grows we are continuing to enhance our mobile offerings,” said Mark Haraburda, AgriCharts Managing Director. “Our mobile strategy is geared towards both businesses and end-users as we offer solutions for both groups.  Combined with our text messaging and email alert services, AgriCharts offers numerous methods for the distribution and consumption of commodity data and information,” added Haraburda.

Users of AgriCharts Mobile will find an agricultural futures price summary, market commentary and personalized weather information right from the mobile homepage.  From there users can quickly access quotes for all futures markets, as well as charts, cash grain bids, news and weather.  Users can also create a custom watchlist and upgrade from the free delayed mobile service to real-time which is offered at $20 per month plus exchange fees.  The real-time version is only $10 per user for subscribers to AgPlus (real-time) and free to AgriCharts Professional (real-time) users, both of which are desktop applications offered by AgriCharts.
