SSI and AgriCharts Offer Real-Time Commodity Solutions to Agribusinesses

SHELBYVILLE, IL and CHICAGO, IL– July 8, 2010 – Software Solutions Integrated (SSI), a leading provider of integrated software to agribusiness, announced an initiative today with AgriCharts to add automatic updates of real-time market data for commodity prices to their Agvance® Grain software.  AgriCharts is the agricultural division of Barchart.com, Inc. and provides market data, website hosting and technology solutions to the agricultural industry.
 
“We are excited to integrate with AgriCharts to pull timely market data into Agvance, when it’s needed most,”  says Bob Leach, Business Analyst for SSI.  “This will enable our customers to improve efficiencies with the ability to pull current pricing information into purchase contracts and export basis prices to AgriCharts, eliminating the need to maintain basis in both systems,” added Leach.     

The integrated functionality will be available this fall with the 5.0 release of Agvance.   It will enable grain professionals to better manage their purchase contracts and monitor their long/short market positions so the right decisions are made during volatile market conditions. 

“By integrating with SSI’s Agvance Grain software we are providing our clients with improvements in efficiency and accuracy for managing their cash grain bids, as well as enhancing their risk management with real-time position monitoring,” said Mark Haraburda, Managing Director of AgriCharts.  “The entire integration process of the market data is internet based which makes these services easy to add-on and manage,” added Haraburda.
